Hello! Thank you for taking interest!

I grew up in Kankakee, Illinois and attended Columbia College in Chicago for an animation degree.

Although I specialize in 2D animation, I also spent a year of my education dedicated to 3D animation.

Outside of art and animation, I enjoy snowboarding, video games, and my cat.

Timeline

I’ve had a passion for sharing my art from a very young age. I can remember in third grade when a teacher was showing off artwork that I made to my class. Ever since this moment of recognition, I chased this feeling.

In middle school, I won a bookmark competition where my design was printed for the entire school. I continued to strive for more, joining our school’s newspaper to draw comics.

My passion continued on into high school where I became a club officer for my school’s publications club. I continued to draw comics and illustrations where I was awarded first place for Best Editorial Cartoon in both 2021 and 2022. I also won first in 2022 for Yearbook Graphics.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed the process, community and recognition through drawing comics, my true interest remained in animation.

I’d draw dozens of storyboard concepts, doodling in my classes rather than taking notes. It was here where I realized that there would be no “Plan B”- I would become an artist.

I attended Kankakee Community College for two years where I’d continue to practice animation on Clip Studio Paint. These years would be where I saw the biggest jump in my drawing skills since middle school.

Although I continued to improve, these 2 years were incredibly tough. Since high school, I knew that attending Columbia College Chicago was my goal and that going there for 4 years just wouldn’t be possible because of expenses. I worked incredibly hard in order to fund the future I wanted for myself, employed since the age of 15 for my dream.

I began to do commissions where I’d be paid to draw for customers online. These mostly consisted of character designs and logos.

For my final two years of education, I went to Columbia College Chicago. I was able to apply everything I had been teaching myself to a group setting. It felt like the time where this dream of mine was finally leading up to my future.

Although my years at Columbia were challenging, I consider it to be the happiest time of my life. The improvement in my work, the friends I made, and the pillars of support that I had made for myself just felt like a launchpad towards the life I wanted. I’m incredibly hopeful for the opportunities that lie ahead for myself, excited to add another section of my life onto this webpage.

Below is a collage of photos throughout my time at Columbia. I thank every single person who finds themselves amongst this collection of amazing memories. I’ll forever look back at these years with true bittersweet bliss.
